I was so happy to finally have a portrait session take place at the Petersfield Heath!  I love it there; the water, the boats, the ducks… So beautiful.

This was a maternity session that I was so touched to be asked to capture.  At their 20 week scan, Tim and Eve were told that their baby had Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)

‘CDH occurs when the diaphragm fails to form correctly or fails to develop in the unborn baby, allowing the abdominal contents to herniate into the chest cavity, which in turn prevents the lungs from developing properly.  Depending upon at what stage the abdominal contents (also referred to as ‘Viscera’) herniated, how much, and the size of the hole in the Diaphragm will determine how much the unborn baby’s lungs and other internal organs, such as the heart, have been affected’  – www.cdhuk.org.uk

There are many uncertainties surrounding this unborn baby boy and yet his parents remain positive and honest, sharing their experience to raise the awareness of CDH.

Please visit the website  www.cdhuk.org.uk or the facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CDH.UK.SUPPORT to find out more and help raise awareness.

Above all, please pray for this amazing family and their baby boy.
